The lecturer will inform the class about the methods of evaluation for this course and explain the upcoming topics of the class. Further, there will be an introduction of the subject Reading I. This course will generally focus on several short stories and texts to practice reading strategies and improve the understanding of the German languages. Although the focus will be on reading, text production activities to reflect on the understanding on written text will also be part of this class. The media used in this class will include the following: PowerPoint presentations Pad (a collection of all materials) Google Classroom Newspaper articles Texts and textbooks Audio and video
2-3	Reading the first short story "Die Verrückte Currywurst".	6		K1: 1. Students should be able to use reading strategies with various text types such as short stories and children’s literature to expand their knowledge and understanding of the German language and to improve their text literacy. K2: 2. Students should acquire the basic vocabulary to read, understand written texts and to further work with them by stating opinions and produce inventive work. S1: 1. The reading of the first short story will help the students to get an understanding of the goals of this course as well as provide the lecturer with the current level of their German skills. Students should be able to appropriately use various technological devices as useful resources for studies and for communication, leading to producing various kinds of new academic work(s) for further studies.
